Supplier Sourcing
Shortlists built to your specification, screened before they reach you.
- Company profile and business scope
- MOQ, price range and lead time
- Certifications and risk notes
From supplier search and factory verification to quality inspection and production follow-up, we help international businesses source from China with greater clarity and control.
Factory visits and sample pickups happen in China.
Every shortlist uses the same fields, so trade-offs show.
Written to be read by someone who was not there.
We coordinate and verify; compliance stays with you.
From your first message to a loaded container, in one short animation — then the same seven steps written out, one by one, just below, so you can check what happens at every stage of the process.
Shortlists built to your specification, screened before they reach you.
Checks before you commit — on paper, on video, or on site.
Samples, revisions and feedback handled without the time-zone ping-pong.
Checks at the points that matter, with evidence you can forward.
You know where the order actually is, every week.
Documents and milestones aligned with your forwarder.
You always know what happens next, who is responsible, and what it costs before it starts.
Product, specs, quantity, target price, market.
Supplier shortlist and a written project proposal.
Side-by-side comparison and samples.
Supplier, schedule and payment terms locked.
Inspections and progress reports during production.
Cartons, labels and loading checked before the seal.
Documents verified, milestones tracked to arrival.
We keep every step visible and under control: the work happens in factories, warehouses and ports, and we document what we see so you can check the details yourself instead of taking our word for it.
Supplier calls, factory visits and follow-ups handled locally, in the hours you are asleep.
Price, MOQ, lead time and payment terms in one table — not twelve scattered emails.
Scheduled progress reports with photos, and exceptions flagged before they become delays.
Deliverables, fees and exclusions agreed in writing before any work starts.
We work with
You pay us. Suppliers never do. Most sourcing agents earn a commission from the factory, and that commission quietly sits inside your unit price. We don’t — and we would rather say so plainly than have you wonder.
If a factory ever offers us a rebate, we tell you and pass it back or deduct it from our fee.
Quote sheets come attached with the supplier’s own figures, and our fee sits on a separate line.
Fixed project fee or a percentage of order value — written down and signed before anything begins.
Three projects, three problems: what went wrong, what we did, and what each client said.
Two suppliers failed pre-shipment inspection, one after the other — six weeks before the container was due.
Re-sourced both, re-ran the samples, and booked an independent inspection before we released the balance.
“They found the fault before we did — twice.”— CEO, Lindenhof Textil
A first-time importer had artwork and a launch date, but no factory — and no way to tell which printer was serious.
Screened nine printers, ran pre-production samples, corrected the dielines three times, and held the run until the structure tested right.
“We had a design and a launch date — no factory, no idea where to start.”— Founder & CEO, Cedarline Packaging
Two factories covered the regular volume. Peak season outran them, and orders started slipping.
Qualified a third factory mid-season, ran a trial order, and kept the other two on standby through the rush.
“Peak season used to mean apologising to customers.”— Head of Procurement, Tarraway Hardware
Every enquiry is read and answered by the person who will run the project — not a sales desk.
This is Yusen Zeng — you can call me Selvin. BSc Accounting & Finance (Honours) at the University of Birmingham and MSc Global Management at the University of Hong Kong. Before I started Odenden I spent three years inside China’s supply chain, handling every stage myself — supplier vetting, sampling, factory follow-up — with no detail too small to check in person.
BSc Accounting & Finance at the University of Birmingham and MSc International Business at Peking University. I have spent two years handling supply chains between Japan and China — supplier communication, quality expectations and delivery timing — and I now look after Odenden’s sourcing work across mainland China, Hong Kong and Japan.
Four ways to buy the same six services — from a single audit to a standing supply relationship. You do not have to hand over the whole project; plenty of clients take one piece and keep the rest in-house. Pricing follows scope and responsibility, not company size.
For a first purchase or a category you have never sourced.
For a product direction that is already clear.
For an order you have already decided to place.
For recurring volume and multiple suppliers.
Third-party costs — samples, courier, audits, testing — are quoted separately and never marked up silently.
Ranges, not quotes: you know early whether the numbers fit, not after three calls.
A clear boundary is more useful than “we can do everything”. These three stay outside what we take on, whatever the order size, the budget or the deadline.
We don’t buy your goods and sell them back to you at a markup. The factory contract stays in your name, and so does the price you negotiated.
We never advance money on your behalf. Deposits and balances go straight from you to the factory, so there is nothing owed to us afterwards.
If a supplier can’t prove it is licensed by the brand owner, we turn the job down — even when the order is already on the table.
Not at all — and we mean that. We work with startups placing their very first order, growing brands testing a new category, importers and distributors with recurring volume, and established companies that simply need more hands on the ground in China. What changes between them is the depth of the work, never the care we put into it. If you are not sure whether you are “big enough” yet, send us your requirements anyway — we will tell you honestly what makes sense for you, even if that means starting small.
Less than you might think. A short description of what you want to source, an idea of the quantity and timeline, and anything you already have — drawings, a reference sample, or even a photo of a product you like. That is enough for us to begin. You do not need a perfect brief before you say hello; if something is missing, we will ask the right questions, one at a time, at your pace.
Carefully — and transparently. We check the business license and legal entity, look at production capability and equipment, speak with the factory by video call, and visit in person when that is the sensible thing to do. Then we write down what we found: the strengths, the questions that remain, and the risks we would want you to know about before you pay a deposit. If we cannot confirm something, we say so, rather than fill the gap with optimism.
Here is what we can promise you. We will stand on your side from the first message to the last shipment. We will put every suitable factory next to each other, on the same specification and the same terms, and show you exactly where the differences are — so you can see we have pushed as far as the market allows and take the best option available to you. We will look after your interests, and we will tell you early if something does not look right, so no problem ever reaches you alone. What we cannot honestly promise is a price no factory could survive on, or a production run with no defect at all — no honest supplier can promise that, and you deserve to be told so. Everything else, you can count on.
We can absolutely help you on this side. We coordinate with your freight forwarder, compare transport options, check the invoice and packing list, and follow the shipment until it is on its way to you. Import duties, customs clearance and destination-market compliance stay with you as the importer, unless we agree otherwise in writing — but you will never be left guessing. We flag anything that looks off before it turns into a cost.
Simply, and in writing. Depending on what you need, it is either a fixed project fee or a percentage of order value with a minimum, and we agree the number with you before any work starts. Samples, courier, audits and testing are quoted separately, never quietly added on top. And if something falls outside what we agreed, we ask you first rather than surprise you later.
Within one business day, and usually much sooner than that. We work in English and Chinese (Mandarin), on GMT+8 — with early mornings kept free for Europe and North America, so a message sent at the end of your day still lands in ours. If your question needs a factory to answer, we will tell you when to expect their reply instead of leaving you wondering. If something is urgent, WeChat is the fastest way to reach us. WhatsApp reaches us as well — but network conditions in mainland China can slow it down at certain hours, so it is occasionally less reliable than WeChat.
Send your product details and we will come back with supplier options, indicative pricing and a clear scope — usually within one business day.
